October Favorites | 2015

Hey girls, I’ve been resting at home all week due to getting my wisdom teeth and I’m so tempted to be doing all this online shopping for makeup but I’m gonna try to hold it back and make a few blog posts ;). But first it’s time for my October Favorites! Time has flown by!!

Maybelline Superstay Better Skin Concealer, I LOVE this concealer! I have it in the shade Ivory. The whole concept behind it is that it has salacylic acid in it, which helps fight breakouts. I’m all for anything that is fighting some black heads, and I love the coverage and finish of it! I’ve heard lots of people compare this to the NARS concealer. Definetly try it out! Only bad thing I’ve noticed is when you apply around the eyes it does get a little tingly and sensitive but nothing I can’t handle!

Wet n Wild Coloricon bronzer with SPF 15

This bronzer is great for warming up the skin! Mine is in the shade Ticket to Brazil. I don’t use this to contour, lately I’ve mostly been into just warming up the skin and I’m constantly reaching for this. I’m very fair these months and this is light enough to look natural and has a gorgeous sheen to it as well.

Benefit’s Bella Bamba Blush, I got this blushe ages ago and just recently rediscovered it and can’t put it down. It looks SO natural on me. It’s an extremely universal color and is the perfect natural pink flush to your cheeks. Although I don’t own it, I feel like this is comparable to the famous NARS orgasm blush.

•The Balm Mary-Loumanizer, I ordered this off hautelook and it was delivered in September. This has completely taken over 1st place from Becca’s Opal. They’re extremely similar but the Balm’s is more of a sheen as opposed to glitters and sparkles in Opal. It looks so natural and beautiful and I would highly reccomend this if you are trying to decide between this and Opal.

Morphe Angled Contour Brush, I got this brush in a set I mentioned in a previous online haul post. I couldn’t find any specific names for it so if anyone happens to know please leave it in the comments! I use this to apply my bronzer and it works beautifully. It picks up just the right amount of product and blends amazingly. Its great quality and is SOO soft! I will most likely be buying more brushes from Morphe sometime soon!

•Elf Fan Brush, this elf brush was $3 and well worth it! I was never a fan of these types of brushes but wanted to give one a try so I went with my best option, and love it! It’s fool proof for applying highlighter, it puts it right where it needs to go and doesn’t pick up too much product. If you want to try out a fan brush, try this one! It’s only 3 dollars so if you don’t like it, you won’t feel too guilty ;).

MAC Matte Lipstick in D For Danger, a few weeks ago my boyfriend let me pick out a lipstick to buy at MAC and this one was jumping out at me. This is my perfect Fall/Winter wearable red. I would describe it as a deep raspberry red. It’s so flattering and it lasts forever.

MAC Whirl Lip Pencil and Maybelline creamy matte lipstick in Daringly Nude, this has been my favorite nude lip combo for October. I just recently bought Whirl and am really enjoying it! I’ve had daringly nude for ever and never wore it because it washed me out to much, but this combination is perfect for me. The swatch is Whirl by itself, Daringly nude by itself, then both blended together.

Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette, I have a repeat from last month! I can’t get enough of this lately. For fall I’ve really been into neutral looks and this is the perfect palette for it. It’s a great palette for beginners too! I’ve also been working a lot and haven’t had much time to play around with my other palettes and eyeshadows, but hopefully I will in November!

CoverGirl SuperSizer Mascara, this mascara is a game changer. I have NEVER been a fan of CoverGirl hence why it took me so long to buy this mascara but I am SO happy I did! Everything i want from a mascara, this does; curl, lengthen and volume (and cheap!). I highly reccomend this!

Fall Bronze Eye Makeup | TooFaced Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bar Pallete | 2015

Fall Bronze Eye Makeup | TooFaced Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bar Pallete | 2015

Hellooo girls ( And guys if I have any following me). I haven’t done my makeup in a while due to working like crazy so I felt like sitting down today and playing around with my make up, and I figured why not show you guys what I did and what I used/ how I did it! I hope you enjoy!

I started off with my Olay moisturizer

Foundation: I tried out the Loreal Lumi foundation in the shade n1-2 for the first time today, applied it to my face with a real techniques expert face brush and blended it with a mix of that brush and a drugstore beauty blender sponge.

Concealer: Elf HD lifting concealer in the shade fair to spot conceal and for under my eyes and eyelids I used maybelline age rewind dark circle ereaser in the illuminating shade.

Powder: Loreal true match powder in the shade n1, I use this to blend out any discoloration in my foundation and concealer and to make my entire face one color. I also noticed the foundation i used was very liquid-y so i used this to blot it.

Contour/Bronzer: To contour I used my Benefit Hoola Bronzer which I am in love with and use every day! I lightly contour my cheek bones and forehead, and nose. To blend my contour and bronze a little I used wet n wild coloricon bronzer in the shade Ticket to Brazil.

Blush: I used my Maybelline Fit Me Blush in the shade Deep Coral, which I tried for the first time today and LOVED. It looks very natural and glowy

Highlighter: I used a mixture of Becca Opal, and Elfs baked blush in pinktastic.

Eyebrows: I lightly filled in my eyebrows with my NYX Micro Brow Pencil in the shade Brunette. I use this everyday, I love it!

Eyeshadow: Today I used my TooFaced Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bar Pallete, which I cant get enough of lately! I first put the shade Coconut Creme all over my lid, up to the brow bone. Next I used the shade Peanutbutter for my transition shade, all over my crease area blending over and over. Next I used the shade Truffled directly in my crease and outer V. This took time to build up to the amount i wanted and to blend, but its worth it in the end! All over my lid i used the shade Caramel, a beautiful golden bronze. I lined my upper lashline with Licorice. On the outer 1/3 of my lower lash line, i smudged truffled, and all over the lower lashline i smudged the lid color Caramel. Lastly, I put Butter Pecan in my inner corner. Lots of blending for this but I loved the outcome and will definitely wear this again!

Mascara: TooFaced Better Than Sex Mascara.

Lipstick:  Kat Von D Everlasting liquid liptstick in Lolita.

Setting powder: Elf HD setting powder.

I hope you enjoy this look and this post! This is my first time posting a look I hope I didnt do an awful job! Let me know what you guys think!

xoxo

Now that it’s officially fall I’ll share my 5 favorite lip colors to wear this year!

Maybelline Creamy Matte Lipstick in the shade Touch of Spice

This lipstick has become one of my must haves for all year round. I would describe it as a spicy brown mauve. What I love about this is 1: it’s so buildable. You can lightly dab this on your lips with your finger for a wearable everyday nude mauve, which is probably my favorite way to wear it, or build it up to the deep mauve it’s meant to be. It’s perfect for fall and I love the way it looks with my blonde hair! This also lasts for a good couple hours! The smell of maybelline lipsticks isn’t my favorite, although I know other people don’t mind it. (Not my picture)

Colourpop Ultra Matte Lip in the shade Bumble

I mentioned bumble in my September favorites as well, I love this shade so much! I have a slight obsessed with dark mauves and this is my perfect shade, especially for fall. I wore this to a concert and didn’t have to reapply once throughout the whole night of eating, drinking, and everything else you would do at a concert. I always get complimented and questioned on my lip color when I wear this! I would highly recommend this Ultra Matte lips to anyone because there’s so many shades to choose from and the longevity is unreal!

Bumble is the second one down from the top
Only decent picture I have where Bumble can be seen!

Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Lolita

This fall all the hype has been about Lolita and now that I have it I can understand why. This color is beautiful! On Sephora’s app this is described as a chestnut rose, or in my words a plum-brown. I LOVE wearing this with an all matte nude eye; preferably my naked basics pallete. This is the most long wearing lipstick I own, it takes serious effort to get this off your lips, I almost always can never just use a makeup wipe. I’m not too sure if I have the original batch or the new one but I don’t care too much. On a lot of people this pulls much more pink and a lot lighter than it does on my fair skin, but either way it’s beautiful!

Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Cruella

I recieved Cruella in my Sephora Birthday gift. Cruella is something I personally would not wear in the spring in summer because of how deep it is and I have big lips so it looks very bold, it’s deffinetly a cold weather color for me. This is described as a scarlet red which does it complete justice. There isn’t any skin tone this wouldn’t look amazing on! This will deffinetly be my Christmas Day color.

Not my picture but this does it justice
MAC’s Brave

Brave is one of my everyday colors. With one application it comes off as a gorgeous nude, but with layers it becomes deeper and deeper as a dusty mauve. I throw this on with just about every eye makeup look and always love it! If you have skin color similar to mine I highly recommend this for an everyday nude.

I hope you guys enjoy this, lip favorites are always my first to read or watch 🙂 I’m going to work on making my own swatches and examples when I have more time but I’m working a lot this month!
